Laverne continues her support for the elderly of New York City
by volunteering weekly through New York Cares organization.

Volunteering is a continued effort to enhance lives and provide services to those in need. Laverne is a team leader with the organization and provides leadership and support in preparing
meals in Harlem, New York. Meals are packaged and delivered to senior residences in various housing developments who are home-bound through limited mobility and have a restrictive diet.
Volunteers assist in preparing over 400 meals daily to serve the
aging population in the area.
